well I could do it from an exe but idk how to make an exe make an exe lol

MARC, don't make it extract to C:\

Make it extract to %SystemDrive%\Program Files\PLTViewer or something like that

depends on the file, I got rid of over 90% of the file size from a bmp on RedYellowGreenBlue but on others like Leaderboard the effect wasnt as drastic

try it, if a plt file appears where the JPG is then it works
[edit] working on an exe that extracts the image reader to C:/ and associates .plt files

im working on an image format, it works by making a list of all the colours in the image then making pairs of what colour ID and how many times to use it.
this is the program, it's a self-extracting archive that runs a registry file when done(if you dont permit access to the registry it wont work!)
I have the following images converted:
Leaderboard RedYellowGreenBlue CheckPoints

use this to convert BMP, PNG or TGA files to PLT(you download then drag a file onto it)
