The simple goal of the game is to build a tower, or multiple towers, which can ultimately reach the glowing moonlight(s) - the moonlight is the finishing point of each level. In order to complete the levels, at least 1 node of your tower must be touching the moonlight for 4 consecutive seconds. You will know if the node is touching as it will turn solid white. If there are multiple moonlights in a level, there must be at least one node balanced in each moonlight in order to complete the level.
Constructing your tower consists of adding nodes one at a time, which gives your tower a branching triangular structure. This is a physics game, so be strategic in where you place nodes, as most of the time you’re going to need to keep your tower balanced to reach the moonlight. As well as balance, you also need to consider structural integrity, if you just randomly places nodes there’s a good chance your tower will collapse under its own weight. Try and make sure everything you build is well supported and not too top-heavy. You can see where all the weak points are in your tower by looking for areas where the black lines have turned a deep red colour. I suggest closely monitoring these areas while you get used to how everything works. All it takes is one weak spot to bring an entire tower crashing down, which can be especially frustrating in the mid to late game.
Nodes can also be removed from your tower by clicking and dragging over the desired nodes, the nodes to be removed will be highlighted in red. This can be used to your advantage in some levels, but most of the time it is a hinderance and will add an additional move to your score, so try to plan your tower in advance to avoid mistakes.
Some levels can also feature wind, so remember to look out for the moving particles in the background of the level, the directions the particles travel in will indicate the directions of the wind, so take this into account when building your tower in order to keep it balanced.
Can someone explain in detail what the goal of this game is, because I may try it before the year ends. If you wouldn't mind. It looks interesting, and it's about being way up in the sky/galaxy.
As a last resort, I may have to find some easy accepted levels to play for fun and for EXP points. I'm not worried about finishing all the officials. Not worth the stress and misery.
Congrats! This is my worst game and so half of the officials that you breezed through I’m completely stuck on. I haven’t tried this one a lot I admit though so maybe I’ll try this one a bit more in order to improve.
All officials checked off for Moonlights now finally! Might try for a top 10 score, not sure if I can be bothered. Twin Towers destroyed my global score though, but at the same time I've never been so happy to complete an official so poorly, the stress was unreal! xD
I don't like this game, it's too difficult for me so I won't be coming here anymore. I'm just being honest, I'm only sticking with games that I'm good at.
For level creation tips, feel free to read this guide for the several games on the site. Don't worry about getting your levels rejected, everybody started like that.
If you rather play the games and levels, there's not much to tell you actually. Play the games you like most, maybe all, and play the official levels first. They are a great introduction and get progressively harder.
Practice makes perfect, so you might need to play the games a bit more to become good at them. This also goes for creating levels.
It would be nice if you would rate levels, as this is an easy feedback for the creator. It also rewards you with a small amount of experience points.
That's something for new people. When you are new at making levels your first few levels are not that good so JP imposed a limit in the first month so hopefully you spend more time improving your levels that way.
