  not exactly- thats who invented the flush toilet, and why its refered to as the "crapper" and were the word "crap" comes from.

The nickname "john" came from King John in England, he was so much disliked by the people they refered to the toilet as the john to disrespect him.

Also king john was so disliked, no other king in England took on the tital "king john" again
