  I do it in a different way
I do it something like that:
1. Go to profle
2. Click change avatar
3. Write something like "http://www.bonuslevel.org/img/bllogo20.png"(it will be your avatar)
It works just like on the forums XD

  I know there are a lot of new people coming on to the site and they want to know how to get avatars. here's a little instruction on how to get an avatar:

1: choose a picture you want for an avatar. if it's online, you will have to right click it, then hit "save picture as".

2: go to your profile and hit "edit profile"

3. there is a button that says "browse" on it. click it and find the before-saved picture and double click it.

4. go to the bottom of the page and hit the arrow.

5. wait a bit and your avatar will change to the picture.
