  25 years, yes, but our current technology does not allow us to search that far. Just imagine how far away the closest star (except from the sun) is to us!?
And they're still looking for signs of previous life on mars.

  Humans have been searched for intelligent life in space a whole 25 years, but still, it seems that they where never found...

  I believe that aliens exsist, when the universe is so huge, why wouldn't there be lifeforms anywhere else than earth?
But I don't really think that thing in the video was anything but some sort of freak animal..
