  I got bored and made this and I know I haven't finished my other games so don't nag on about it please...
[edit] I have also fixed the bug where if you make a small building on the light grass pressing the dark grass makes it dissapear rather than just do nothing

  Yes, people may build their own custom houses, or just choose to live in a default house.

Having a house for sleeping gives you an advantage, as you will generate more energy from sleeping in your house rather than in the street.

  Great factory MARC2008. The staff of BonusLevelCity will be making list of products you can produce and the resources needed for them.
So for now you must wait with your factory.
Everyone starts with a sum of 100$, which is enough to do some things but not enough for buying a property and getting you factory built. You need to work in the mine/at the farm/another place to earn money or take a loan.

@Geckojsc, we will be hiring "ministers" (admins) that will frequently update the player statistics. They will be paid from the income of the bank, and other country-owned companies.

The BonusLevelCity Headquarters

Description:
This is the city hall, the place where the city gets controlled from.

The ministers of BonusLevelCity have their offices here.

The money earned from the state-owned companies goes to the headquarters, where they are used to improve the city.
Should you be wanting to start your own company or buy a property, this is also the place to, as you'll need to contact a minister.

The BonusLevelCity Bank

Local Description:
Want to save some money, or simply in need of some? This is the place to go.
The BonusLevelCity Bank is led by the ministers at the headquarters.

Storing your money in the bank will cause the money to be raised by 5% every week.
In opposition taking a loan will cause the loan to grow by 5% every week. So be careful!
