  yes, there would be...changing mine to:
(money/25+averageKillCountOfExistingTowers)*lives
game will NOT send scores on official levels(will on others) if you ran out of lives...this is possible using BLAPI, it tells you the type of level(test=-1 normal=0 official=1 official complete=2)

  it would be good to have different tower kinds
Range: incrases range by 2 tiles
Damage tower: doubles damage
Speed tower: fasten tower reloading
Special tower: boost special tower's abilities

  lives are the most important scoring point in my tower defence game, it's completely intentional...

  How many lives do you plan to give the player?
Since the equation you made would give some serious score outputs with 50 lives or so :p

Unless I've made some serious mistakes in the calculations, Ahroo's is a bit more based on everything, which makes the scores a bit lower and closer to eachother. While Marc's sort out the highscores by the amount of lives left, which means that, in theory, anyone can get a high score if they just avoid leaks.

  Ahroo the tower doesn't have a level, and also what if you only use pre-built towers? you would get an infinite score...
I think lives should be a bit more important...

  Well...

How about we base score off of this:

(Lives Left + (Enemies Killed / 2) + Money Left) / Towers Made

So if I have 5 lives left, killed 200 enemies, have 400 money left and used 10 towers, my score is 50.5

Which means, to get a better score, you have to:

-Survive well
-Kill a lot of enemies
-Be a penny pincher
-Be clever and put towers where they can be most effective

Adding a layer of strategy to the game...

MARC, is this equation easy for you? :/

EDIT: Oh, and if you die, you can still submit your score... your lives left number is 0, of course. :/

  Maybe each time you get hit by enemies you could lose points. That way if some one tries to beat a level without doing anything, they would get a negative score.

That would force people to try on oficial levels.

so would there be a minumum number of waves that you must beat inorder to complete the level? Beacuse otherwise people could play for 1 second, quit, and get 1 exp on their profile...
I suggest making it 10 waves, that way its not too long or too short.

  Create 'useless' objects to place in the level, which towers cannot be placed on, and could also be used for decoration, e.g. trees, walls, ect.

I would like as many ideas as possible, but don't put stupid ideas that have little or no chance of being implemented.

[todo] 2. create specialist functions(begin/end level, submit score, etc.)
[todo] 3. create game graphics(get Ahroo XD)
[todo] 4. create game MCs(creeps, objects, floor, etc.)
[todo] 5. create user interface(shop, HUD, main menu)
[todo] 6. create replay script
[todo] 7. create award script(you get per-level awards for bonus points!)
[todo] 8. implement BLAPI


I will also accept award ideas for BT but, as before, no stupid ones :D

also, I would like a vote as to whether you can see how to get an award before you get it for the first time, or if you should get it once first
