@Vasilok, those are layers. This means you can draw tiles over other tiles to hide them (tiles you can't hide are walls, I assume spinners, and metal plates that are on). The editor automatically makes the top two layers have empty space, so nothing will overlap yet. The layers, from bottom to top, are 1,2,3. By selecting multiple numbers at once, you can place a tile on each of the layers selected. However, if you want to make different tiles on different layers (which is more likely), you will want to use the L. When you click this button, whatever layer it is next to is locked and cannot be edited until you unlock it (click the L again). Since layers only appear in the level (In both the editor and in the actual play of the level) when you have them enabled, locking a lower layer allows you to make any changes to the higher layers (such as maybe masking a tile) without affecting the locked payer (however, you will still see the locked layer unless you deselect its number)

All of the hidden tiles and things you have probably seen are created from the use of these layers.

If you're wondering about negative numbers, that's a glitch with the time stoppers. If 3 are placed on the same spot (though on different layers) time is subtracted as you stand there (though Hexicube is going to soon fix this). :)
