btw: if you got a checkpoint and you die the bg doesnt move anymore!

You should do the opposite of what you've already done to make it realistic.

Actually it should be more realistic now, as the closer the bg is, the faster it should go behind the horizon, right? (And green in this case goes fastest to the horizon).
