Nice and well executed idea!
Interestingly, the Canabalt Flash game was made with Flixel, which is the ActionScript library which JP has been raving about recently.

You'll have to wait 3 days, on the weekends i'm not home very much. And i'm gone on monday.

About the backgroud, yeah, but then it will be very obvious that the houses are moving and they won't have background. Is skyscrapers in the distance okay?

Hmm interesting. I guess you know Shiro is on vacation and you also know I won't accept this background. It had been easier and faster for us both if you had actually made some real background.
