IT doesn't have to be "cute houses" and such, it could be formations of bg, (doesn't have to be bright and ecstatic, of course), like I have in What We're Here For.

That bg looks pretty nice, actually, its a shame you can't put it all over the level, too much lag. I like to spread out my bg to cornerws and flat spots, but we all have our own style. :)

Can't tell if this is before or after you added "more bg". 4/5, not bad, but I like to see more "background" and less of that line covering bg, although I know big lines are more of your style.
