I'm happy for people to know about it now that it's fleshed out a bit. I know there's only a few of us who will see/play it, but it's nice to see the interest from both you and suhangha. Hopefully we can inspire some more levels from him too! Turns out it was Ancient 6 (Jellify) that I was thinking of, I gave it many attempts over the years and never even felt like I got anywhere close to solving it. Typical of pudel to be the only solver. I'm thinking of adding some of the HolyNight and Disaster Wave levels too, what are your thoughts on those series'? Whilst both are very difficult levels that had me stumped for a long time as usual (the former gave me the most difficulty, which reinforces my point about your small but fiendish puzzles), I just felt that because of the limited number of available moves at any given time I would eventually find the solutions, which I did. I might just be biased though as I didn't find them too extreme personally. It's a shame there aren't more active players to try and give us a better representation of some of these difficulties. I think new threads can't be created, which is the ultimate issue with any new levels or packs, so you won't be able to comment. I found it through changing the 'pack number' in the url. I've linked it here in case anyone wants to see. Let me know if you want to keep it under wraps for a bit longer. As for that level, I had a bit of a look but not found it yet. It sounds either like a ‘Wild’ theme level or one of the ‘Jelly Festival’ levels but neither gave what sounded like that level. Maybe suhangha remembers? EDIT: I found out that my level True Stability (Jellify) only has 2 solvers which if you're going for a more objective approach may be worth including. I may have underrated that one, maybe also Pile On (Jellify), but you and nelson have much better scores than mine... There's a level from suhangha which I can't for the life of me find anywhere or remember the name of. Pretty sure only pudel solved it and it's one of those 'move the jellies onto a floating jelly of the same colour which is above a big pit' kind of levels, and I'm pretty sure the colours are yellow and orange. If anyone can find that one it would be a big help! It would be nice to have a level from all the top designers as I think we all have at least 1 or 2 which deserve to be there. Suhangha has about 90% of them though as you'll see! xD I'm adding them all now, but some levels might lean more towards the Expert side, so please let me know if there's any you think I should add or remove seeing as you're more qualified than me in the Crazy department! I don't want to oversaturate either it like you said, it's got to be the toughest of the tough! :P Don't underestimate yourself dude, I haven't even come close to beating CMY Gates yet, so you've definitely got it in you! Speaking of, I've actually got a new Expert coming soon. I've had the concept in my mind for years but never been able to translate it into a design until now, so I'm excited for you to try it! :D Trip of Jelly Day 34 (Jellify) and Trip of Jelly Day 49 (Jellify), the only two Trip of Jelly Day levels to stop me... some of the others are really hard too. Particular mention goes to Trip of Jelly Day 13 (Jellify), which is so compact but still only solved by 3 players! Jelly Slicer 20 (Jellify) - so many ways this one can go wrong. This is half the genius of suhangha levels. Lots of little bits that can easily go wrong. Other Jelly Slicer levels include 14, 15, 16, 21, 28 and 32. Jelly Trial 19 (Jellify) - Another incredible level with an impossible looking challenge, most of the expert Jelly Trial levels could be in the pack, with 38 and 40 being particularly brutal I think. Locked in (Jellify) - Cannot believe I missed this one. For some reason I remember beating it, but I imagine I got very close but count never manage it. Pretty difficult. As for bbdest, Expert Gardening (Jellify) as you already mentioned is his hardest in my opinion (though you could make the argument that was Simon!) I'm sure I missed a lot of levels but trying to remember and play 1800 levels makes it quite difficult to assess difficulty. There's also so many difficult levels that I had to leave out, or it would probably be too many and interchangeable with the 'Expert' pack. In any case I look forward to seeing the pack, and if we can make new levels to challenge them (for me I doubt it but maybe suhangha will return or you will make another beast Dynamo!) Limited Connection (Jellify) - I can't tell if this one is underplayed or just really difficult. I remember beating it and then bbdest annihilated my highscore, and I never really touched it much since. Spelling N (Jellify) - Hardest spelling level. I personally didn't think it was that extreme but only 4 completions in that long speaks for itself. Squares (Jellify) - I think I underrate this one considering I remember half the solution any time I attempt it. Very hard level, and I honestly think it should have been official. Jellies Challenge 21 (Jellify), Jellies Challenge 51 (Jellify), and Jellies Challenge 61 (Jellify) - Jellies Challenges can be brutal. These are in my opinion the three hardest. Honorary mention to Jellies Challenge 10 (Jellify), I still feel that one could be an expert in another timeline... There's probably some other brutal Jelly Slicer and Jelly Trial levels (Jelly Goal levels are usually easier) that I forgot about but I'll detail those in another comment. Valuable Trap (Jellify) - Hard to know how difficult this one is, but it seems very difficult! I've tried semi regularly to beat it but no luck so far. Threading (Jellify) - I have no really way of knowing the difficulty here. Considering only you have beaten it, and it's your level, it must be very hard, and I imagine your hardest! CMY Gates (Jellify) - I'd say this is definitely my hardest. Whether it's in that absolute top echelon of brutal levels I'm not sure but I wanted to suggest some variety! That's all the suggestions I have for now. I'll play some more levels again and see if I find any new ones! If this was the hardest level in jellify, someone would remember it. this, frost, colorful, music has no extra levels 5 to 8 | Levels forumPlay Level "Disaster Wave 4"About Level "Disaster Wave 4"First post of the topicIf this was the hardest level in jellify, someone would remember it. this, frost, colorful, music has no extra levels 5 to 8 |
I love HolyNight levels, they make me feel like it's my first time playing again! I think a couple deserve to be in there but I haven't solved enough to tell. Similar to Disaster Wave, I only solved the 2nd one so I cannot say - but they all seem pretty hard to me. Agree on Ancient 6 (Jellify), that one is deceptively brutal!
Ultimately, the 'hardest levels' will never be something a small set of players can agree fully on. I personally think Honeycomb (Jellify) is up there, but it's not even expert... In any case, I think it's a fun exercise and can spark some nice debate (and hopefully I can actually make some extreme puzzles CMY Gates (Jellify) like again, because as you've seen from my more recent JG2 levels, I like to make things extremely difficult!)
