  A paradox is something like "What if I killed my great-grandfather before he has any children?"

Because he has no children yet, killing him would mean that you wouldn't exist. However, when you get back, you will and will not exist.

  You are just contradicting yourself.

  @jasper(1): That isn't a paradox... If you called a broken phone, it would simply seem as if though in use. You can't call from a broken phone, so that ain't even a possibility
