You must register or log in to post a message.Make regions hold able (instead of having to click) Metallic crates: Same as wooden but can withstand lasers and lava. Speachbubbles that are triggered. (good for pseudocutscenes!) Enemies with the "haunting" theme, like ghosts and the undead. Psycho, yeah gecko already planned them, but he didn't finish them yet. :) Crate: Affects Gravity, Podly can push it, (Already Implemented? Well I think "Probably Already Implemented") 3secs, 4secs, 5secs, 6secs, and 7secs+ (Timed falling platforms): Once Podly jumps on it, a timer will start to countdown, and when it gets to 0, The platform starts to fall. -One last thing, "Dinosaurs"- (BTW, My 555th Message, LOL) As I was writing this, I came up with another idea: Conveyor Belt: moves object next to it in given direction. Here's a level showing the lights in action. It's kinda old now, but it still demonstrates it really well :) There's a full lighting system which allows you to draw pretty glows and shadows to the screen using additive and subtractive blending. It's a little technical to understand, but it can be used to achieve some really neat effects. The game has two 'fog' layers that sit over the screen. The subtractive fog can be used to draw dark colours, and the additive fog is used to draw bright colours. (if you want to make a dark cave, use the subtractive fog) There's 4 entities in the editor that are used in lighting (near the bottom of the entity selector) Additive Fog Config and Subtractive Fog Config are used to apply a certain fog to the level. Note that podly has his own glow, which is also configured through these. There's also Additive Glow and Subtractive Glow that are used to make lights/torches in the level. I've written some more about it in the editor manual (still very WIP) Oh wow I just typed a huge lecture. xD But Gecko would need to implant a light system then, if it doesn't exist already So, Light bulb: needs a switch to be flipped to turn on. Miner Helmet: Power up that surrounds podly with light for a limited amount of time. Torch: always lit, gives out light. Maybe some enemies that chases podly if podly is in the dark. I will add pistons, because I need them for the first level (it's part of my story) Fan: when podly hits it when it's spinning, he dies (because he has only has one hit point.) Piston: Crushes podly and enemies Screw: Podly can spin around on it,(Q to spin around in dash power up) unscrewing it inputting a signal and opening a door. Lazer power up: Allows podly to shoot lazers. Node: Inputs a signal when a lazer hits it. (couldn't think of something else) Gears: meh maybe Isn't the box identical to my enemy spawner idea? papers: now that's just kinda like a cartoonish idea. Gears: They turn around.(decor) Box: If you press a button linked to the box, the box will open and a monster comes out. (I cant find the word for one enemies) Factory enemies: More enemies with the factory theme, like robots. Papers: The papers scatter if you walk into them. Enemies can slip on the scattered paper.Smart enemies will jump over the papers. You can already make timed eggs. Link a destroyer to the egg and link a waiter to the destroyer. You could also link a trigger to the destroyer if you want. Every enemy kills Podly with one hit... Gecko once added lives to the game, but he removed them because they didn't suit the game. Sticky Enemies: Sticks to walls and stuff. Plate of metal: Will take 5 hits before breaking. Plate of wood: Takes 3 hits before breaking. Plate of plastic: Takes 1 hit before breaking. Timed egg: Can be collected, but explodes in a set time limit. Brick Enemies: Is very heavy and can crush Podly in one hit. Data Enemies: Explodes into data that can kill Podly in one hit, also the data teleport in random locations 3 times before dissapearing.. Speed x7 powerup Speed x8 powerup Speed x9 powerup Speed x10 powerup Speed x11 powerup Speed x12 powerup Speed x13 powerup ;) SuperMario: I guess I could sprite some wings in for the jet powerup that already exists :) -You can do one way walls with toggle walls and triggers -Green Buttons=levers -Switchable fans (turbines) are nearly done -Electricity is pointless. -There are tons of background tiles already and there will be added even more. -Totem poles? You could design them yourself and upload a custom tileset. -Totem enemies? -Vines also already exist. -Jump through platforms (Only Solid on the top) -One way walls -Levers -Switchable fans -Electric Metal and Electric metal spinners (Electricity flows through this metal, Switches and wires can connect to this) -Electricity -Background Tiles -Totem Enemies -Totem Poles -Vines (Decor) -Punching Glove Enemies -Super-jump Powerup -Super-Double-Jump Powerup -Speed x2 Powerup -Speed x3 Powerup -Speed x4 Powerup -Speed x5 Powerup -Triple-Jump Powerup BTW, I really want to wait until it comes out to play it, and make it a big suprise for me! Playing It now would only spoil the Major Suprise for me :D We have: -Lava -Fans (coming with the next update) -In/Outflow for ascending or descending water/lava -Floating lava/water platforms will maybe be crates in a future update -Switchable lasers -Locked doors (keys are the switches to them) -Text signs -Clouds -Coins (seagull eggs ingame) -One way doors (a similar version, coming in a future update) -Projectile Powerup won't be added and when you would read the comments you'd know that -Checkpoints -Switches (wirless, why would you need wires?) -Invisible walls (solid regions) -Invisible switches (triggers) Maybe you should experiment with the level editor and see what things are already implemented? :) -Black Hole, sucks the player in with it and player dies if touched. -Lava (Already Added) -Acid -Fans, they blow you in the direction they are facing in. -Lava Switches -Water Level switch -Floating Water/lava Platform -Poisonous projectile shooting Flower Enemies -Lasers and Laser switches -Door Unlocking Switch -Locked Door -Signs -Clouds (Dissapear every 5 seconds) -Coins -One Way Doors (Can only Be opened once) -Projectile Powerup -Checkpoints -Sticky Platforms -Wired Switches -Invisible Bumpers -Invisible walls -Invisible switches -Wireless Moving Plaforms/Elevators [ON] & [OFF] Switch (2) -Wireless Moving Platforms/Elevators [ON] and [OFF] (Connected to a switch) -Trap Doors -Fake eggs -Fake Walls -Flooding Water/Acid/Lava Rooms -Draining Water/Acid/Lava Rooms -Mud (Player walks slower on mud) -Quicksand (Podly will slowly sink in quicksand if standing on) -Draining Sand Switch. -Slopes -Wide Slopes -Extra Wide Slopes -Steep Slopes -Extra Steep Slopes -Normal/Wide/ExtraWide/Steep/ExtraSteep Celling Slopes -Spikes -Alternating Spikes (Hides for 3/4 seconds every 1.5 seconds, and Sticks out again for another 1.5 seconds in 3/4 seconds after that) -Deadly Platforms -Deadly Spinners -Deadly Moving Platforms -Tar -Tar-Covered Blocks -Upside down Water/Acid/Lava -Fire (Burns Things) -Spreading Fire -Thunder -Thunder Clouds -Snow Clouds -Weather Maybe more ideas by me soon. | GeneralFirst post of the topicFeel free to post your suggestions in this topic.
