Hey everyone. (Long time no see... about 18 months)
Posting here to answer a few questions so that it's clear where this game is going, and so no question remains unanswered thanks to my inactivity (that's the aim anyway).
I was inactive because I just finished my GCSE's (secondary school qualifications for those outside of the UK) and am studying for my A-Levels (college-level qualifications) in order to prepare to study Computer Science at university. The workload is harder, plus my social life is also changing so I'm finding little time to come here anymore.
As you may remember me mentioning just before my inactivity, I was in the process of remaking the game using ActionScript 3.0. Astro Breaker can help me in terms of constructing a portfolio of my work in terms of progressing with Computer Science, and so I will continue to develop the remake - at least, that is my intention.
The remake will include a level editor and if it's all figured out, I will make the game BL Compatible. In terms of moderating levels, I'm sure a solution can be figured out down the line - maybe I will lead, maybe someone else will - we shall cross that bridge when we come to it.
Hope I've managed to clear everything up. Was great to come on here and see the progress that's been made, especially with the release of Simon's new game (Congrats). Best wishes to all. :)
Bricks can be any colour dependent on Level Data (in code, so you can't really visualise this).
Types of Brick are: - Normal (with strength stated on brick when > 1) - Bomb (destroys all 8 bricks around it) - Railball Powerup (ball does not rebound off bricks) - Speed[+/-] Powerup

So, Astro Breaker is just a dead game?
