  I gotta go to bed at a decent hour tonight, because we have to shop for food/supplies at our local Food Lion or Walmart tomorrow night. There is a tropical storm headed our way for this weekend. They are calling for high winds and heavy rain.

  Yeah, what an achievement! Soon enough you'll reach 5000 levels and earn that special award. Just focus on the kids and easy levels first, and then work on the medium, and lastly the hard levels.
Coolguy52 1 month ago
  Congrats John! That is a pretty incredible achievement for your short time on that account! I doubt I've ever reach 1000 BB levels solved!

  Guess what guys, I just solved my 2,000th level of Blockoban. It took me a while to get used to the blocks and physics of the game, but now I'm in the pro-league too. I've learned some advanced tricks too to solving the harder levels.

  It’s in a years time, so fingers crossed they don’t split up again because of another backstage argument involving weaponised instruments like in 2009… or if they do, I hope they at least have the decency to do it after I’ve had my chance to see them! xD

I suppose productive is one way of putting it, if you leave out the sleep deprivation and the mountain of stress from the first 2 of the 3 devices I used showing sold out tickets for other tour dates! My body feels like that of an old man and I’m gonna be recovering all week I think, I don’t even have the energy for gaming right now! xD

  That's pretty cool, congrats on getting the tickets! I'm not that into music but even I know the level of influence that Oasis had and still have, so it's definitely an incredible opportunity for you to hear their music live!

That's pretty cool about the extra ticket too, it sounds a lot more productive than my weekend which has consisted of relaxing and playing games haha!

  Not sure how many of you are British music fans, or care about music at all, so this might not mean much to anyone apart from maybe CG, but I managed to get 3 Oasis reunion tickets - one of my favourites bands of all time - on Saturday after staying awake all the way to 1 in the afternoon, after waiting in a queue for 3 hours from 9am, to make absolutely sure I wouldn’t oversleep or miss my alarm. I’ve genuinely never been so happy and so exhausted at the same time! This is an actual once in a lifetime opportunity if you know anything about their, let’s say, ‘problematic’ history! I even managed to buy an extra ticket which I have potential to make a nice bit of profit from! All in all I’ve had a very successful, but incredibly tiring weekend! :’D

Sorry if it seems like I’m oversharing about a load of rubbish, but I just really wanted to share my excitement for anyone who might be interested to hear, I feel like a little kid again, it’s such a good feeling. xD

  Jellify is fun for me for that exact reason. The potential for different levels becomes greater the more you add to a game. The simplest puzzle games just devolve into levels that rank among the worst on the whole website, particularly Blockoban - where a good chunk of the officials are hated for being too unwieldy or tedious to bother solving. A perfect example is Deja Vu? (BLockoban), a level that is super boring to solve and is official. RT’s officials also have their issues but there are some real gems and I don’t know if I’d say the same about BB. On the other hand, practically every Jellify official is pretty brilliant.

  What's up everyone? I see CG and Dynamo had an interesting conversation. My favorite games are JG2, Rolling Turtle, PuzzleIt and Blockoban 1 and 2. Not a Jellify fan because it's more complex than the other puzzle games.

  I wonder if Hog Pop is even worth playing, I like the RT game and the creator mode where you can make your own levels and designs. The power-ups are pretty cool I'd say.

  Those last 4 you got are some real tough ones tbh, but 26k is definitely on the cards if you can polish off those last few. You have some nice high scores already which I'm gonna have a real challenge to beat. Yeah I kinda abandoned my projects too, I just get so fixated on going for high scores. xD

I don't know if I physically can max it as some scores seem completely unachievable through some insane luck/jank. My ultimate goal is 27.6k though, I think I'll be satisfied at that point and then I'll probably try to clear up the accepted levels. I'm pretty sure the sum of best is now something like 5 points off 27.7k, so I appreciate all the help I can get in pushing those max scores! Can also confirm there are many early accepted levels that belong in the bin. I'd recommend playing from most recent to oldest if you're gonna go for it. xD

It just hits the nostalgia spot perfectly, and we've been a part of some of the greatest BL eras, which is good enough for me. :)

  That’s totally understandable about JG2, it is definitely a game where your timing has to be incredibly good so if you are lagging then you will 100% struggle to improve.

Rolling Turtle is a very fun game and I’ve definitely enjoyed trying to get better. Competing with you on there isn’t very possible for me right now but I should reach 26k and the top 5 if I were able to nail the last 4 officials. I’m not going to stop though, I will possibly try to make levels that help me get better at the official (which is reminding me to finish that other one). You mentioned that at some point you wanted to max the game so the way I see it is that if I set some very good and hopefully maxed scores it helps get closer to that theoretical max!

I don’t know how possible the accepted levels are to complete (minus the autos with 100 players), which is what I did when I got a bit bored of the official levels in JG2, so maybe that could be a new challenge for me. I’m a bit afraid that if the officials are largely not the most fun, then some of the accepted will be complete garbage haha. Although some of the JG2 levels from ost and some others are completely garbage too so I think I will manage.

I completely agree with the last sentiment, it is really sad the way the website has died off, both in competition and in general. It was a very fun ride while it lasted though, and I’m not done playing these games myself :)

  Yeah that mini game pack was such a good idea of yours, like you said I think it unintentionally got us trained up to compete with PD. Believe me I wanted to go for 9 million but I feel like my reflexes and timing aren't as good as they used to be anymore, especially to be able to compete with some of your insane scores. I don't know why I stopped with only a 2k difference to improve on so I might come back and try for 2nd place, and get as close to 9 mil as I can. Although sometimes I feel like Pale Moon is quite laggy on my laptop and can affect my timing which frustrates me, so I think that was another reason why I never really went back to JG as your timing has to be so precise. I feel you when it comes to wanting some competition, I think that's why I said to you that you'd be good at RT, because at the time it was basically a dead game, no one played it competitively at all and all the best players were inactive. :/

Designing was never really my thing, although I like to think I made some nice Jellify levels which managed to stump a lot of you. Don't feel bad for making hard levels dude, your levels are awesome. I always gave them a good go but I just lacked the skill to complete them at the time. You really managed to hone in your skills and produce some really good looking difficult stuff to showcase your design and driving abilities. If you have another one ready to go, I'll be more than happy to rise to the challenge. :D

Path 4 Mouse was fun at the time, but I definitely don't have the reflexes for that anymore lol. I did appreciate the amount of love that went into it though, with the sheer amount of features that kept being added without it ever feeling overwhelming, that was a difficult thing to achieve. Layers were a huge update and really allowed people to create some really artistic and complex levels. It's just a shame all these games eventually died off with the discontinuation of flash. :(

  I guess I’m quite predictable xD

I’ll give some more reasons why I enjoy it. It’s the first one I played, brought me to the site and inspired me to try to compete for highscores, and whilst I was a bit slow to start with, only getting my first official highscore in 2018, once I got going I didn’t stop. Our rivalry is probably the best memory on this site, and while it is one thing I look back on if I was just 1 day quicker, I would have been the player to defeat PD - you were definitely the right player to dethrone PD, given you’d done the same to goldie 2 years before. It’s crazy to think this rivalry started in a way nearly 10 years ago on those Mini Game levels! I think the times I was able to carve out a couple of highscores to rival you were what actually motivated me to continue playing and getting better. At that point my official score was around 5,500,000 which wasn’t representative so in late 2017/early 2018 I pivoted to start climbing the ranks, and the rest is history.

I also enjoy creating levels there the most, it allows for very good timed challenges and I feel I can make levels that compare with the very best in terms of gameplay and design. I do feel a bit bad about making the game full of ridiculous levels that almost nobody can be bothered to beat, but I guess that’s what I enjoyed making at that point. I do have one more potentially but it is really hard so I haven’t beaten it yet.

The one thing I kinda wish I saw was a proper fight for 9 million. I feel like it’s out there for you, PD and SM if you were to seriously go for it. I understand it’s kind of a huge undertaking though and probably not on any of your radars. I noticed SuperMario came back and took at least 3 highscores, 2 of which were mine iirc and I tried for a bit to take them back but no luck so far..

Having said all of that, I’m surprised you didn’t mention Path 4 Mouse. It seemed like at one point you just decimated the game and have dominated ever since.

  Don't think there was much question about JG being your favourite CG. xD

Push holds a special place with me because it's where I got my one and only official. But in all honesty, it can get a bit dull because of the lack of features. I've grown an appreciation for all the games over the years and I've been trying to get top 50 for all of them and get as many awards as I can too. Excluding BLockoban, I completely suck at that and always will. xD

Shoutout to Jellify, one of my favourite puzzle games of all time. It made me see puzzle games through a new lens and now it's one of my favourite genres of games outside of BL. *applause for Simon* :D

I'm torn between Jump Gear and Rolling Turtle. JG is pretty special to me too because it's the game that brought me to BonusLevel when I was a kid, from a flash game site I used to use. Then there's my battle with CG as well, after so many years of seeing PineappleDude with the ghost rider I had to rewrite the history books. And then my guy CG, the legend himself, took the reigns and just ran for miles with it and never looked back. Legendary stuff. Some real nice memories in Jump Gear.

Rolling Turtle on the other hand... I had a similar feeling seeing goldie completely dominating the top of the leaderboards, and after knowing what he was capable of with his patented 'goldie leap' in that famous 107, he set the bar sky high and I knew I had to take it to the next level. So I practised optimal movement techniques and then started looking for little tricks/shortcuts to beat his scores even when it didn't seem possible and before long I had done it, and I felt like I had truly mastered the game. The only thing I will say about it though is that a lot of the officials are just plain bad, janky and not fun to grind at all. The official packs make up for it though because there are some absolute gems in there, and even more not in those packs too.

After all that, I really don't think I can choose, so I'm calling a tie. :P

  I never really got into Push. I struggle to operate the pushing mechanic whilst doing the fast platforming requires for the best scores. Same goes for Path 4 Mouse, I’m beyond terrible at both of those D:

Jump Gear 2 is my favourite, I always enjoy that game when I come back to it. Rolling Turtle has also given me some enjoyment and good times. Jellify is my favourite puzzle game, but to be fair I’m fairly average in all of the other puzzle games. Hog Pop and Captain Dan are also good ones. The rest are a bit meh for me.

  What is your all-time favorite game of Bonuslevel besides Push.

  I took about a week's break, I went and did other things. Ride my bike around town, play soccer and basketball with my friends, went to the mall and shopped and did other activities with my family. I enjoyed every moment of it.

  It'll take some time for me to figure that equation out. I will give the answer when I can.
Coolguy52 3 months ago
  ax+b=c => x=(c-b)/a

(5)x+(-7)=27 => x=(27-(-7))/5=(27+7)/5=34/5=6.8

You can make it into as simpler form by taking the constants to the one side, ax+b=0 => x=-b/a.
chris3000 3 months ago
  X=6.8

First I added 7 to the right side which got me 34, and then I divided 34 by 5 which is 6.8.
PuzzleFan 3 months ago
  Solve for x:

5x-7=27
