You must register or log in to post a message.I'm interested about the nodes, moons and the wind in the level creator mode. It should be fun tweaking with the items and settings. Constructing your tower consists of adding nodes one at a time, which gives your tower a branching triangular structure. This is a physics game, so be strategic in where you place nodes, as most of the time you’re going to need to keep your tower balanced to reach the moonlight. As well as balance, you also need to consider structural integrity, if you just randomly places nodes there’s a good chance your tower will collapse under its own weight. Try and make sure everything you build is well supported and not too top-heavy. You can see where all the weak points are in your tower by looking for areas where the black lines have turned a deep red colour. I suggest closely monitoring these areas while you get used to how everything works. All it takes is one weak spot to bring an entire tower crashing down, which can be especially frustrating in the mid to late game. Nodes can also be removed from your tower by clicking and dragging over the desired nodes, the nodes to be removed will be highlighted in red. This can be used to your advantage in some levels, but most of the time it is a hinderance and will add an additional move to your score, so try to plan your tower in advance to avoid mistakes. Some levels can also feature wind, so remember to look out for the moving particles in the background of the level, the directions the particles travel in will indicate the directions of the wind, so take this into account when building your tower in order to keep it balanced. For level creation tips, feel free to read this guide for the several games on the site. Don't worry about getting your levels rejected, everybody started like that. If you rather play the games and levels, there's not much to tell you actually. Play the games you like most, maybe all, and play the official levels first. They are a great introduction and get progressively harder. Practice makes perfect, so you might need to play the games a bit more to become good at them. This also goes for creating levels. It would be nice if you would rate levels, as this is an easy feedback for the creator. It also rewards you with a small amount of experience points. Have fun! :) When you are new at making levels your first few levels are not that good so JP imposed a limit in the first month so hopefully you spend more time improving your levels that way. Click here As for your level in specific, avoid putting the starting shape of screen. Phew this game is frustrating sometimes, you have to be good at this in order to beat most of the levels. I really need help. | Games forumPlay Game "Moonlights"First post of the topic |
