  Rawr, I have a few complaints about the editor... the delay px increment for path items is too small, I have to set each item like 100 apart for the delay to be noticeable and it takes a really loooooong time to scroll.

Also, why is it sometimes possible to construct semicircles/circles in 1 curve and other times I have to make a circle with 4 lines?

Testing the level doesn't work when there are no non-background lines.

Next, if you end a test while the turtle is in a cannon, when the next test starts the turtle shoots upwards. Not a big problem though.

Speaking of which, the size powerup doesn't immediately dispel after you die which can cause unexplained deaths at checkpoints/start of level.

Currently experimenting with circular paths by setting the smooth value to... very very high.

Suggestion: allow durations of powerups to be set to infinity? Maybe make a -1 or something.

Suggestion: set default grid size to 32 instead of 16 as 16 is really too small to work with imo

  birdjoeelixir! set the speed of one node to 0 and the curves/items will stop there.

[edit jp] and if you don't want the path to be too slow, put the final node with speed set to zero very closed to another one with positive speed).

  In the level creator, do i really need something! It will be nice if it was possible to stop the moving parts at an special place that you can make!!!!!

  Well, minimay, I thought it just made it more difficult, because many times I make double jumps without intending to, like jumping off a wall, that I didn't want to jump off because of it. It's rare though and now that I discovered it (I didn't know it until just recently), it will probably come in handy when I use it intentionally. :)

  I believe so, otherwise jumping off walls could potentially be very annoying.

  Yes, no more, but the .sol can to be corrupted, I can give my local save file my FTP ? The level test are totally normal. Line+

  OOH i can't change my avatar. Under 'Edit Names's profile' came a black box when i save the changes.

What shall i do??

  minmay, I'm not sure if the pb is when there are many curves objects. I think the pb is more with paths, maybe when you remove items in paths or remove paths. Test your level very often. Above all, when you are about to make something with paths, test the level and save it before. Then test it again after you've done your operation. This is the most important problem to correct because you're not the first one forced to start over a level because of this.

About the node speed, it's not possible, using integer is very interesting for serializing/saving the levels and engine performance.

About the laggy editor, yep I know. This is not easy to optimize like in the game engine. On the other hand, when the editor becomes laggy, it can be a useful warning for the designer. Designing levels with too many objects/curves, will maybe work on your computer but not on less powerful ones.

  Would it be possible to allow non-integer values for node speeds (e.g. 70.6)? The best thing would be to allow the user to enter them manually, so that you could have numbers with many significant figures. In my "Turtle Crushers" level (which hasn't been uploaded yet, but will be soon), some of the crushers are out of sync with the others due to having to round the values.

Edit:

Could you also optimize the level editor code a little bit? When I have more than about 20 floors/curves in a level, it becomes extremely jumpy and laggy, however, it's fine in-game.

Another edit:

Seems that whenever you have a level with more than about 100, it won't let you test, save, or properly play it, even if you reduce the number of objects. That's a problem. Basically I ended up having to delete the level and now I'll be recreating it from scratch.

  masselass, you must have found another bug, I'm sorry.

hen there are so many paths, and when yo start to delete some items/paths, there is a big risk of bug.
So this is how to proceed :

1 - test very often the game, if the test is successful, you can save the level.

2 - if the test fails, reload the game and reload your saved level. If you found out what action causes the problem, let me know.

  what do you see on your screen ? Is there an error message ? check that you have installed the last version of the player (v9).

  I made "The Cube" on my laptop with touchpad, so now I was planning to make v.2 on my computer..with a real mouse. But the game doesn't work here. I have a flash player..

what can be the problem?

  OH yes, you can choose whatever for your avatar except for nudity, violence etc...

  Yep, you can even clone a group of curves / items.
Just select the moving tool (the cross), for cloning a group, select with the mouse, then drag & drop while pressing the CTRL key.
