Santa Claus is coming to town this week. Are you ready?

Are you all ready for 2025 and the holidays? We need to get out our Christmas tree and ornaments. It takes a lot of work decorating and getting the house ready for our Christmas parties and get-togethers. But it is worth the time and effort to socialize with friends and family. So, what are your new year goals and resolutions for 2025? And what is your favorite figure of the Christmas holiday? Mine is Santa Claus and his reindeer.

I had a great Thanksgiving holiday chatting with my family/friends and stuffing my face with food and turkey. It was a good feast yesterday. And the weather was decent and warm/crisp.

I hope everyone had a safe, wonderful Thanksgiving. So, what did you all do and eat this year?

I don't know, I've never met him online here. I've seen some of his posts on the Path4Mouse thread.

I cannot believe next Thursday is Thanksgiving. Can you? And this year will be over in a month. Wow, I'm shocked at how fast time is going by. It's most likely because we're having fun or either staying busy.

They are the same holiday in that case, just different names. They originally were for remembering the end of WWI, but later were adapted to pay respects to all veterans of war for the respective country. Tonight is a ‘festival’ that Americans don’t have, Bonfire Night.

There are of course things that Americans have that the British don’t. Thanksgiving for example, but also the more obvious Fourth of July celebrations to commemorate American Independence. You can imagine that’s not exactly worldwide - and of course not in the UK xD

Wow, that's something new that I've learned today. Thanks CG52. Your country must have different holidays than the U.S.

Interesting. In the UK we have Armistice Day which is essentially the same.
