Topic, Game "Jump Gear 2"

  On official levels (and accepted levels too) we can only add :
- checkpoints
- moves on background lines
Not to break the best player replays.

If somebody want to edit his/her level, just post a message on the level and it will be made editable.

  what if creators can chose to add those improvements on they official tracks ?(stars may be)

  That was the one big downside to the update. It's still pretty cool though!

  I'm a bit mad about the new update, because now all of my old levels suck compared to the new ones.
But it's great!

  How about adding the 'press ctrl to navigate through checkpoints' feature that was in Rolling Turtle's test mode?

  bug:when you hit a checkpoint then an invisible info bubble and then you die.
you restart at that checkpoint but that info bubble is not invisible anymore

  I've updated the game+editor.
- The state of the PATH is now saved when you catch a checkpoint and restored to its saved value.
- Default size of the items has been increased (for info and checkpoints).
- More help/guides have been added in the editor for newbies.

  No no, it's a racing game and not a platform game like in RT. The time will still run even if you start from the checkpoint. If you want to make a great time, then you have to complete the level without dying.


@gameinsky, I've updated the size of the red path nodes.

  Also, when you hit a checkpoint I think you should make the time stop until you press space and make it so you can't rotate before you start from a checkpoint.

  I wish to try that checkpoint don't reset the PATH. I think it's more adapted to the JG2 kind of game.

What do you mean by "also the ghost does" ?

  bugs of the path:
you can't move the noodle when it's hided under a line
also the noodles are small and when you get a noodle it's stil based on the grid of rolling turtle.

paths don't reset :-(

(suggestion:what if you could give the checkpoint an option with:reset paths or don't reset paths)

For sure there are many bugs, so don't be surprised. The former levels and replays seems to work correctly.

  That's why I think the game would be much better with powerups and checkpoints and other stuff, even though people say it's a racing game and doesn't need them.

Also, I've spotted a 'bug' (it's not really a bug, but it's very annoying)
If your hold up and right, you can jump, but if you hold up and left, you can't jump. This has made me lose and mess up loads of times!

[edit, THeNiNJa]: Yes, that's because most (newer?) keyboards can only register you pressing 2 keys at the same time.

  I found an idea me too ! you can put water , you will be able to go in it and you go slower and the gravity will be lower too
