  from what ive gathered youre using flixel and idk if it uses fla files OR classes
for me to make a starting point it needs to use both so I cant make a starting point until I know it can use it

Regardless, it IS in AS3, it's a game library with ready -made collisions and such so you can focus on making the unique things in your game, or so I've heard... :/

  would it kill someone to make a simple extractor that takes into account options? probably...
I dont know if flixel actually uses fla files, I really doubt it, or if it uses important stuff BL needs like importing classes

  My only problem was that it took a whole day to download XCode, and after that, I didn't even know what to do with the files.

  Yeah, the same happened to me when I tried to install Flashpunk... I got everything done perfectly, and it wouldn't load. D:

But for now, I'm animating the player, and learning ActionScript.

Anyway, you won't hear much from me for a while, but when I make the player moveable, the background work and the levels actually playable I'll put it in the test phase. That should be in around 50 years xD

  yah, when the layers are combined the result will be 4000 by 1024 to allow upward scrolling. the cload layers will go on the top, and the hill layers will go on the bottem.

One thing I don't get however, is why the third layer is 1024 high if you base it on a 512x512 screen.
Is it to allow upwards scrolling?

  okay here is the list of layers im making:

1- Clouds 1- small and light purple shading (4000 by 512)
2- hills 1- DONE (4000 by 512)
3- Hills 2 + Clouds 2-Darker hills in more detail with big clouds above it (4000 by 1024)
4- Bushes 1- Bushy, lots of holes with berries. (4000 by 512)
5- playable lvl. (done, made by ahroo)

6- Example- combines all layers as an example of how the graphics will apear in game.

My graphics are based on a screen size of 512 by 512.

What is Pixelized?

Pixelized is a future game, currently being developed by birjolaxew. It's in the development state, and - due to different obstacles - it won't be released to the public before 2011. It will probably go into testing state early-middle 2011.

What's the gameplay?
In Pixelized, the current idea is that you - the player, will be a small pixelated man trapped in a block world. Carrying specific blocks with you (Each block acting it's own way) you'll have to build your way through puzzles. A great example of the whole block concept can be found in the 3D game "Minecraft". Notice, that details can change during the development.

What have you done by now?
As of 17/11/10, I'm fiddling with the BL API, Flash and the basic game. I'll upload a "game" soon, but it won't be actually playable, and therefore I wont add any testers.

What blocks will be included?
A list of the blocks currently planned:
Dirt (Affected by gravity)
Stone (Not affected by gravity)
Mud (Not affected by gravity - Created by dirt blocks, directly touching water)
Ice (Not affected by gravity - Slippery, only available in winter mode)
Snow (Affected by gravity)
Sand (Affected by gravity - Found near bigger areas of water)
Gravel (Affected by gravity - Created by stone blocks, directly touching water)
Undestroyable (Used to block of parts of the level - Can't be placed/mined)

Where will it be released?
Right here, on BonusLevel.
