  no, it was someone on the internet, i just googled "side veiw of people". then i edited it in photoshop.

  I draft all of my stuff in small scale before making large scale objects. :/

If they're perfect on small scale, they're perfect on large scale. :/

  Okay, status update! :D

I've been able to make a character similar to a person in a suit... kinda looks like my Reach player. xD

I will get onto changing stone right away. :/

  I don't mean plain white, but more of a mix between the current color and white.

  @Ahroo: Well, for the snow, make it white, not cyan. Cyan just looks wrong.

@MARC: Well, I said it was sidescrolling earlier. You even replied to it.

  @MARC: I... Don't get it... You made the rock a half circel? I like the pavement better then the stone to be honest. Stone aint supposed to be red (Ok, ok then. Brown) and you could put some more work in it then applying a filter, if you really want it to look good.

@Ahroo: Great we agree. You could remove most of it, and just have a tiny bit of dirt in it. As it is now, the dirt dominates it too much.

@Birjo, I thought the brown in the gravel was pretty bad, too... gravel is hard to make pixelated. :/

@DY your pixelated person scares me. o_o'



EDIT: The snow is supposed to be periwinkle/ really light blue because it actually LOOKS like that... and the white wouldn't work very well... :/

  @demonicyoshi Looks nice, but maybe a tad too real? Oh, and the anti-aliasing :/ Can't have that in a pixel world can we! Try making him black (Mysterious silhoutte man FTW) and his arms a bit shorter in the second pic. We want an animation for him too, so a pixely man might be easier. Well done anyway! Looks great

[edit] I can add transparency, but that would mean you have more of a job creating multiple layers of tiles...

  They really need transparency too (Yeah for PNG) and they all look too equal.

Some of the blocks in Ahroos pack does look equal too, but not all of them. I don't like the brown in the gravel either.

  actually stone(rock) is brown, it just has a slight reddish appearance...
i'll change them now...
I put more kinds of minerals than you specified because you might end up wanting them and it's more convenient to have them there ready ;)

  Well, for most parts it looks cool. However, you didn't quite stick to my list of blocks.
The minerals shouldn't be single colored, but stone (Wait, is stone red o.o) with pieces of the mineral in it

  Pixelized - Official Thread


What is Pixelized?

Pixelized is a future game, currently being developed by birjolaxew. It's in the development state, and - due to different obstacles - it won't be released to the public before 2011. It will probably go into testing state early-middle 2011.

What's the gameplay?
In Pixelized, the current idea is that you - the player, will be a small pixelated man trapped in a block world. Carrying specific blocks with you (Each block acting it's own way) you'll have to build your way through puzzles. A great example of the whole block concept can be found in the 3D game "Minecraft". Notice, that details can change during the development.

What have you done by now?
As of 17/11/10, I'm fiddling with the BL API, Flash and the basic game. I'll upload a "game" soon, but it won't be actually playable, and therefore I wont add any testers.

What blocks will be included?
A list of the blocks currently planned:
Dirt (Affected by gravity)
Stone (Not affected by gravity)
Mud (Not affected by gravity - Created by dirt blocks, directly touching water)
Ice (Not affected by gravity - Slippery, only available in winter mode)
Snow (Affected by gravity)
Sand (Affected by gravity - Found near bigger areas of water)
Gravel (Affected by gravity - Created by stone blocks, directly touching water)
Undestroyable (Used to block of parts of the level - Can't be placed/mined)

Where will it be released?
Right here, on BonusLevel.
