You must register or log in to post a message. And if I go for a realistic look, I'll use yours. Don't worry. Your texture is just so different from Ahroos. birjo idk why you want to use Ahroo's cartoony blocks...too cartoony...XD probably both... I doubt side-scrolling, I think it's just areas ofe 1 screen size that you go between it's not like i'm trying to draw actual grass lol [edit] for a start Ahroo's don't even look pixely my tiles got 6 now... BTW I completed MFT with the first guy, the girl, the grasshopper, the castle crashers guy AND the chicken. >:D @Ahroo Yearh, that looks cool. Maybe having him a bit darker. why must it have a reality look? ITS A FANTASY LOL :P what angles/posisions do you want? I'll find a way around it. :/ birjo did you look at mine? mine are pixely and Ahroo's aren't... 1- use digital camera to take picture of real person 2- Upload to computer 3-shrink size to 32 pixels. 4- Enlarge to 64 5- enjoy your new pixelated man! I still haven't found the perfect man shape for the character, though... :/ EDIT: the sprinkling is just about the same on every block... though I could make them different with a slight recolor. :/ Only thing I might want edited is the stone. Looks too empty, and the dots too random. Make it look more like dirt, and it's perfect. [edit] ofc, it needs no alpha, but if it did GIMP can make BMPs with alpha :P But YOU have the advantage of making MEGApixels. my pixels are normal-sized. :p EDIT: oh... you saved it as a BITMAP, Not a PNG... D: | GeneralFirst post of the topicWhat is Pixelized? Pixelized is a future game, currently being developed by birjolaxew. It's in the development state, and - due to different obstacles - it won't be released to the public before 2011. It will probably go into testing state early-middle 2011. What's the gameplay? In Pixelized, the current idea is that you - the player, will be a small pixelated man trapped in a block world. Carrying specific blocks with you (Each block acting it's own way) you'll have to build your way through puzzles. A great example of the whole block concept can be found in the 3D game "Minecraft". Notice, that details can change during the development. What have you done by now? As of 17/11/10, I'm fiddling with the BL API, Flash and the basic game. I'll upload a "game" soon, but it won't be actually playable, and therefore I wont add any testers. What blocks will be included? A list of the blocks currently planned: Dirt (Affected by gravity) Stone (Not affected by gravity) Mud (Not affected by gravity - Created by dirt blocks, directly touching water) Ice (Not affected by gravity - Slippery, only available in winter mode) Snow (Affected by gravity) Sand (Affected by gravity - Found near bigger areas of water) Gravel (Affected by gravity - Created by stone blocks, directly touching water) Undestroyable (Used to block of parts of the level - Can't be placed/mined) Where will it be released? Right here, on BonusLevel. Screenshots Ahroo made us some game graphic (Great work I must say). I've put them together, to make an example of how a regular map will look while zoomed in. Any way to keep track of the project? Most certainly. I've made a blog, located here Please check my next post for further information. |
also, if I made a pixely truck(maybe 16x32?) would you look at it?
[edit] scrap that I can't do trucks XD
