Topic, Game "BLockoban"

  For me EL, admins are more than just evaluating. Evaluation is only a small part of your duties (probably the most time consuming). IMO, the most significant part is to assist players, motivate new ones, assist designers, resolve conflicts, answer to questions and listen to opinions. The ultimate goal is not only preserve the high quality of the game and the community's but improve it with fresh new ideas. Speaking of which we need to have a Global Score that is apart from the official ones, to include accepted levels as well. Since, as you've mentioned, official lvls have almost reached their limit, in terms of amount, the new challenge would be to keep records of the global scores separately from the official one. Let me also remind you that designers are ranked on all levels and therefore a similar approach should be at least available to other lvls. That for now...let me go back to my designing room...hehe

  Haha, Toughman, but that is no problem here. I just simply want to do some other things more, and not be on my toes whole the time 'what if there are levels to evaluate', as there are people who really strongly stand against admins if they don't do their 'job', evaluating.

Well I'll try to 'teach' all I can now to OMG and let him find the touch to this job. I hope he will do it better than I did (as I have always been a bit lazy on those purple levels).

  Well EL, since you were the only (almost always) available admin, everything passed from your hands and we, the demanding ones, were only asking things from you and never tried to step into your shoes. No understanding was shown (at least from my part. I admit it). I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to your work EL and I am sure OMG will step up to his new responsibilites. I count on you guys. As for the rejection OMG I am sure we will be treated just like any other member. I always admired equal treatment and I'm positive you share that too. Again GL pal.

  Thanks you guys for your kind comments and support [I HOPE]. I am more than happy to accept the challenge of being an Admin. Elizea, maybe you can catch a little break now and then. I am retired so availability is not a concern. Being a part of BB has given me the opportunity to stay alert mentally and to continue to contribute. I feel that it is very important to keep up the standards that you all have set for BB and I will try to coach new designers and members, as they show up. I am always open for suggestions or criticism [maybe] hehe. And ToughMan, don't worry, I won't reject yours, pauloalex's, or murat's levels just because they are too hard, and I'm not smart enough to solve them.=]

  Without any disrespect to El, JP and all other admins I believe one more admin was needed to help and assist in the late overload of the BB. And who else better than OMG, who knows the territory very well, is very passionate with the game and certainly has the credibility, objectivity and reliability required for such a task. WTG my friend. You definitely deserve it all the way. Good Luck to your new responsibilities. We will all show more understanding, the kind that, unfortunately, EL didn't enjoy.

  Since i can't solve many more levels, i decided i'm going to create them, can you guys help me think of something. I think i have learned every trick of blockoban.

  You mean beat my score on that particular level chris? Cause you certainly could I was just moving blocks wherever I felt like didn't take one moment to think about lowest moves hahaha. (maybe I should have.) And sycoraximperator! I was trying to keep that a secret sigh... I don't want people knowing I am an addict. Freaking Elizea put out a challenge and I accepted it. Thanks for noticing my hard work tho =P.

  I hereby declare Jyxz as the ultimate BB player. Take a look at "Slide puzzle" and you all know what i mean... Anyone better? :-)

  Chris, one thing at a time. It took me a while to complete all the levels but BB is more than just a completion game. It is about optimizing and I have left many many levels unoptimized which means a lot more work. To be honest I started designing after I had completed most of the levels available just ot get the feel of the game and try to figure out what's all about.....(plus there were not any more to play so i had to satisy my appettite myself...lol). Now, thinking backwards, as I'm not aware of which levels need optimization, i'd rather be in your position where you can go through again and again the levels figuring out the best solution and once you feel comfortable with your way of thinking and playing i'm sure you will become a great designer yourself. Some pretty good signs are already provided by your great accepted ones....so no worries and no disappointment. As already said in previous msgs WE R ALL IN THIS TOGETHER. And to be honest I personally count on you to bring fresh ideas and bring the game in a next level. You are young full of will and TIME...hehe... so move on and don't look what's ahead of you. One thing at a time.

  I'll try my very best to make good levels and to complete other ones, but i'm not doing very good with that. Almost 700 lvls completed also, but sadly i have over 1200 left to solve.

  Yw G. I usually give the credit where it belongs and I wanted to come clean. Never implied you are a copycat...lol. I'd never do that. It was just that PA was coming up strong the last few days with new levels and some of yours were initially passed as PA's. My mistake for which I apologize.You both - and all designers of course - keep us in this good mood.

  I am also very impressed with the quality of gundu's levels today. Nice job buddy!

  I have to confess smth to PA and Gundu. I have been playing and enjoying lots of PA's games lately and i thought I could tell beforehand if a level is designed by PA or not (same applies to OMG's and Murat's levels). The late Gundu's levels have really troubled me in that I thought all of them were PA's. I would bet they came from the same person. Well designed, groups all over, tricky moves, hard to optimize and very well thought levels. In other words my respects to both of you for providing us new, fresh challenges and sorry apologies for the mistake.

  I don't know how it is for the others. But inside me is a little evil man screaming: "Complete! Complete! Complete! ...and go for the top-score!"

  Thanks Elizea, even though you just give us a lot more work (some of it VERY VERY boring!) But we like problemsolving, even on crappy levels!
