You must register or log in to post a message. Thanks to SimonM for this level. I wish to say that I'm grateful for all of the wonderful designers who brought us to this point. I don't think JP ever imagined that this game would succeed as well as it has, and I know we can all look forward to many more levels to solve in the future. OldMtnGuy JP SImonM Manufan OldManRob JasperPostema Murat MatthijsM Gameinsky Digitank CamoDragoon Imr Chris3000 Gundu Garygoh AND MUCH MORE Thank you designers. And just wait a moment more before playing, we are just at 4999. (this is especially the case in other JP games where the levels are more complex, take Rolling Turtle for example) Although if there must be a rating, I suggest it should be obligated and only after you solve the level(perhaps your score wouldnt show up in the list untill you give a rating). With such system, a level played by hundreds isnt just rated by two or three players, and it is also possible to have an idea about who rated how much (every time someone solves a level, a rating should be added). However this is only a sugestion. If you would ask my opinion: every level is a product of great effort, so no one has the right of disrespecting that effort by rating with 1 or 2 stars. I think it would be much better if the stars just disappeared, and instead a "Like" button was introduced, where the rating is the number of "Like"s it gets. The creators would be less hurt in this system. The only complaint I've ever had about bad ratings is that if a player feels the need to rate a level at a 1 or a 2, then they should have the guts to leave a message and say why. Again I apologize my tirade, and as far as I'm concerned it will be business as usual. On the bright side, I am making another puzzle game for BL! It combines both aspects of blockoban and blockoban 2! And I am thinking that a few of you could volunteer to test it. If you are interested, you can pm me. (If you do not understand, young people rate a level low if they can't complete it, that makes them rage and turn against the creator. (basicly the mentality of "If you can't make levels I can beat, I'll rate them badly") Not really much you can do against, but usually they have a bad rating power so they're not really weighting down ratings.) I took so long typing that I did not see TM's comment till after sending mine. !00% 5/5 agree. In my opinion, one old adage I was brought up on applies to ratings as well. "If you don't have anything good to say then don't say anything." So don't rate it unless you like it. If there is something really awful. Address it nicely, constructive critisism. Poor ratings given without prior communication or feedback are useless. They defeat the purpose of rating in the first place. OMG, don't let whoever that is diminish all that you acheived within this game nor diminish how much you are loved and appreciated. | Games forumPlay Game "BLockoban"First post of the topic16 official levels now. All levels are great. I must say I'm a big fan of Psychotronic's levels (thx Psycho). When a level is "only" accepted, it doesn't mean it will not be official one day, it's just I'm not sure for now. |
